Hello everyone! After reading a post about progressive religions in the CK2 timeframe, I decided to try out a Cathar game.Since my favorite start is 1081, I decided to try a Barcelona game. It went fairly well, I managed to form Aragon, Controlled the whole duchy of Barcelonaand my people loved me, Ramon-Berenguer "The Kind". I was lucky enough that my court chaplain picked up the Cathar heresy only 20 years give or take after the starting date. I converted, had fun beating the Jimenas and Moors and things looked very good (having three 18+ martial female generals helped a lot, along with the awesome light cavalry retinue). Then, BAM.Crusade.I didn"t stand a chance, 40k troops against my 25k, and bleeding money due to the mercs I was paying. Now, as I understand it, every kingdom has a certain "value" according to the pope, which decides whether he calls for a crusade against it.Could i bypass this when I create my own kingdom? I picked up CM when it was 75% off, so I have it even though my icons don"t say I do.Any help is very much appreciated!
